I’d like to seek some advice. I am currently a temporary worker with an open work permit that expires next month. My current employers have given me a full time job offer as I am currently under a 6 month contract.
I am wary of bringing up LMIA as I have heard it’s not so straightforward but at the same time, I do want to maintain my legal status here in Canada. Are there situations where I can be exempt from LMIA ? and if not, how should I approach my employer with them helping me With an LMIA. Any help would be much appreciated
