I need to apply for a work permit extension before monday, and I have asked my employers for the past week to submit the compliance fee and fill the job offer form on the employer portal... Longer story shot, the employer is hesitant to do it before Monday. I made it clear that I need to include the receipt for my application but they want to take their own sweet time. >:( >:( >:( I think they will eventually do it. But it might take them a week to review my case..
What should I do? I need to apply prior to expiry.... (should i write an explanation letter? I have some emails that I can include as evidence to show that my manager, admin assistant have asked them numerous times to complete the form and pay the compliance fee, but HR is not responding)

Im not surprise if the emppoyer hesitate to pay and fill the form for u. Because they have to register and inform their business to CIC. Short case, most employer does not want to deal with that. R u under their sponsor? If not, u cannot forced them. Just ask them nicely, and if u really need their support, offer them that you will pay for the compliance fee, because you are the one who need it. Gud luck

Do they understand that you will have to quit working when your work permit expires, if they don't submit this?

If they do understand this, and still do not submit the required details, then you have your answer. They no longer require your services.

Of course, if they submit the information late, and you still want to apply for the new work permit in the 90-day restoration period, you cannot work in the interim until you receive the new work permit.

This is reckless advice. Not only is it illegal for anyone but the employer to pay the fee, but you would be serving yourself up for further extortion and exploitation. Very bad idea.
