Hi I have been working with the same employer for past 1 year under Open work permit ( Initially based on my spouse's Study permit and then on the PGWP).
As i see Job offer requirement under Express entry : it says
Link: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/offer-employment/lmia-exempt.html
"In most cases, your employer needs a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) to support your job offer for Express Entry. Some jobs do not need an LMIA.
Your employer doesn’t need an LMIA to support your job offer if:
  1. you have been working full-time for the employer on your work permit for at least 1 year (or an equal amount of part-time work)
  2. you have a valid job offer, and
  3. you have a valid work permit that is exempt from an LMIA under: an international agreement, a federal-provincial agreement or the “Canadian interests” category
Can i use Point 1 for my express entry profile and get 200 points for my NOC 00 offer
PLease suggest

The short answer is no.

You need an approved LMIA to claim job offer points since you are on an open work permit.

You would only be able to claim job offer points if you were on an LMIA exempt closed work permit that lists your employer (e.g. ICT).

----------- And if
1) i get a closed work permit once my open work permit expires
2) Continue working for the same employer
will this fetch me any points to add to my tally of 470 ?
or i need to work 1 year after i get my closed work permit ? and also get it LMIA certified ??
