Hi. My employer in QC is aplying for NOC 2175 which is currently is the list of professions for facilitated LMIA. The agent just contacted MIDI in Dec supposedly to request authorization to formally file under the facilitated process for this NOC. How long it usually takes for a positive answer from MIDI to then formalize the facilitated LMIA request? After that, how long would it take to complete the process considering that QC requires to also have a CSQ which adds a few more weeks to the process? Thank you all. This forum is a lifesaver.

Hello,
I would like to know if by any chance when applying for closed work permit (temporary foreign worker), we can get a skilled worker visa and therefore get a permanent residence..

Find out what is PEQ. If it is in Quebec, after 12 months of continuous work + B2 French you can apply for CAQ (hence PR). You have to be working when you apply though. Seems to be a bit tricky, the timing for this because if you have a 12-month work permit and you need 12 months working to be able to apply and also be working when you do it, you would have to apply about day 365. This is my understanding.
