Apparently mine will be done within 'a couple of weeks'

Whether this is true or not, we'll see.

LMIA approved.

SC called my employer today to just go through a couple of follow up questions.

Mainly to do with why a certain person wasnt considered for the position.

The reason my employer gave satisifed the VO and granted my lmia.

So my timeline for those wondering.

August 12th - Original forms submitted.
September 12th - Original forms never recieved, resubmitted.
October 3 - Payment taken and file number given on same day.
November 11th - LMIA approved.

The wait is finally over.

Congrats Jay! Just wondering if you have any advice/learnings to share for those who will be applying for LMIA, in terms of quickening or making it a smoother process?

Friday? The updates day?

My noc is 0631, bar manager.

Flagpole, straight forward enough.

Had all my information with me, went through the border no problem.

Asked me a few questions about what i had been doing for 2 months while i wasnt working, i said nothing, waiting for my visa.

Asked me about my job, my hours etc...

Stamped, done and done.

@ Jay ..Did ur employer used some consultant to file LMIA application or did on there own ..??

Just my HR department, they have processed 2 LMO's in the past so they might have used a consultant the first or second time around but she was pretty confident in what she was doing when she did mine, so.

Hi All,

My employer will be submitting the application for LMO coming Monday.
I wanted to know what are the steps for LMO and how long does it takes to get an approval from HRSDC and finally the WP.

Thanks

Congratulations on getting the work permit. I'm still awaiting result. following are the details:

]NOC code: 2171 - IT Consultants
Province: Quebec
wage: 33$/hour
23rd September: LMIA application filed
28th September: Amount Charged and file number received
October 23: ERDC asked for resubmitting the CAQ form (as original form was a scanned one with my signature)
Current status: 9th week running with no sign of positive outcome

The salary offered by my employer 60k is just below the median 63k for the NOC code. Not sure whether they'd refuse the application, accept it or ask the employer to hike the salary. any one aware of this process?
