LMIA application processing time?

LMIA approved.

SC called my employer today to just go through a couple of follow up questions.

Mainly to do with why a certain person wasnt considered for the position.

The reason my employer gave satisifed the VO and granted my lmia.

So my timeline for those wondering.


August 12th - Original forms submitted.
September 12th - Original forms never recieved, resubmitted.
October 3 - Payment taken and file number given on same day.
November 11th - LMIA approved.

The wait is finally over.

Question for you, after 8 weeks, if my employer calls SC and ask them the status of pending application, will it have negative impact on my application which is in queue? Does it increase the chances of rejection ?

My applications was filed mid September. NOC 2253. I assumed it takes around 8 weeks. But,,, yeah you filed it a month before, so I have to be patient. Hope we both hear some good news soon!
