@ Brit em :when did u apply your WP extension and when did the current one expired?

I applied for my wp extension 2 days before my wp expired. That way we had confirmation it was received (sent my courier) giving me as much time as possible on implied status. I actually just got my LMIA approved today- 10 weeks after submittal.

Does anyone know how long approximately it takes to get a file number and for the fee to be charged after the application is sent in?

Been so long getting to this stage now wondering how long before it even starts to get processed.

Congrats BritEm....my LMO was rejected for failing to meet the advertising requirements. We are submitting a LMIA application today after readvertising. Hopefully we get news within 8 weeks like before. Processing times seem to be coming down a bit

I'm not sure.I didn't pry. I was told that that was the reason given and that the decision was appealed but SC upheld the original decision.

Hi guys,

Good news for me too! Got a positive LMIA yesterday!

I applied on 1st August and got the confirmation file number on 12th August and positive LMIA on 24th Sept!

Applied for LMIA on 18th August and I got the official document on 18th September
LMIA and CAQ

Hey

My first LMIA renewal was rejected as we did not meet the advertising requirements.


I applied again on July 20th
I am actually not 100% sure when we received the file number
Around the 20th August they requested we add schedule C transition plan
On August 26th we submitted the TP
They requested changes to the TP on August 28th
Requested further changes on September 22nd
Fax received 23rd September with approved LMIA.

@BritEm: can you pls let us know how long you will get your work permit on that positive LMIA..bcs as above median wage they didn't specify the time duration of work permit..
