Hey guys,

Should the exact location of the company be included on the job bank advertisement or just mentioning the city would suffice?

In my opinion, it doesn't hurt to include the exact location of the advertised position (my perspective employer did), but if you randomly scan the JobBank.gc.ca this is not allways the case, in fact most of the job locations list only the city and province. However, since most of the openings on JobBank.gc.ca are listed as links to other websites, the exact location is usually featured on the original website.

This is what I found on service canada site. They say following info should be included in advertisement:

Company operating name
Business address
Title of position
Job duties (for each position, if advertising more than one vacancy)
Terms of employment (e.g. project based, permanent position)
Wage
a wage range can be used for the purposes of complying with the advertisement requirements; however, the minimum wage in the range must be the prevailing wage;
refer to the Wages, Working Conditions and Occupations to determine the established prevailing wage for the specific occupation and geographic area
Benefits package being offered (if applicable)
Location of work (local area, city or town)
Contact information: telephone number, cell phone number, email address, fax number, or mailing address; and
Skills requirements:
Education
Work experience

Thanks krout and Kashyap272!

I am aware of the job posting requirements for an LMIA application. The thing is almost no company put their business address on a job ad (based on my own experience)! Though they mostly have it on their main website so I was wondering if not putting it down on the job ad will be troublesome?

How does everybody else's employer's job posting on the Job Bank looks like with respect to the business address inclusion?

XY company, Concord-it was our companies address, without any problem.

Hello my fellow LMIA awaiting sufferers!

Since I did my survey and analysis of positive LMIA's posted within this topic, where I counted a total of 73 from August 2014 until now, I was wondering what is the overall total number of positive LMIA's issued by SC in 2015.

A post under one of the other topics on this forum states that 1200 LMIA's where issued in 2014, and that the expected number for 2015 is 3000.

So fellow sufferers, past and present, does anybody now whether or not these numbers are even remotely accurate? If not, does anybody have any reliable information or idea what the actual number could be?

Interesting information.

To answer your question I have to admit that I have no idea. I must say though based on the numbers you provided, I shouldn't be too optimistic about receiving a positive LMIA :(

Hello guys,
There are over 300.000 temporary workers in Canada. Considering the fact that the work permits are issued for either 1 or 2 years it is impossible that SC issued only 3000 LMIA's for 2015.
Of course there are other programs as well like the PNP and IEC from where someone can obtain a work permit but a big percentage of the temporary workers comes from the LMO/LMIA process.

Guys no offense but before spreading false information do some research first. We're here to help each other and transferring inaccurate information doesn't help at all.

No worries preet93. We're all on the same boat here and this is why we're members of this forum, to exchange opinions, information and give hope to each other.
Regarding the link that I have attached I believe that the first chart shows only the positive LMIAs.

G'day people maybe I'm on The wrong thread but i was looking through other ones but couldnt find someone related to my question. I applied under international agreement FTA and my employer already sent The application through The Employer Portal, I wonder how long does It take to receive The Exemption # That starts with letter A plus other few Numbers.

When i started filling the IMM1295 in one of The blanks i need to out such number. Any idea how long It takes ?
Thank you
