LMIA application processing time?

It's been 2 weeks from interview, and the lady from SC requested few paperworks right away after interview and we sent it off after 2 days, but so far my boss hear nothing from them. Is it normal or my employer has to contact SC for update? Can you please share your thought?

my coworkers case: after interview (thursday) sc officer said they will fax the result by tuesday. tuesday passed, friday came, employer followed up and left a voicemail, then on mon or tue they faxed the approval. its a good idea to contact for update

Rejected On 8th May 2015

Reason of refusal : not spent too much efforts to hire canadian Or PR

province, Edmonton AB.

Waited 6months For NO

so sorry to hear about that. any idea why 3 people and what should be extra efforts?

maybe you can apply under different noc

i think i've read about 1 or 2 cases like that here in this thread

I am also waiting since first week of September. My NOC is 6312 (Food Service Supervisor). Still waiting....

Advertisement was expired in March..Dont know why my employer is not renewing adv...

Sorry to hear that, after such a long time What is the occupation and where? Did they interview your employer before decision?

Its actually my husband's. We are here in Alberta. They applied for Line Cook position. Im not very sure but I think they interview the employer around january.. Lucky for us, my husband's employer is very kind to re apply for another LMIA application. Hoping to get approval this time..

Sorry for this, I believe you guys should be good this time!
I realized that most rejected cases for LMIA were due to lack of efforts of hiring Canadian/PR, but I'm wondering that how SC identify and verify hiring efforts that employers had made...they don't even tell how much efforts they want or set up a bottom line.

Our employer has also been waiting 6 months and just got told by SC well it's not urgent appln so it's in the process.
He was pretty mad as he's like urgent or not waitin 6 months is a joke. They've asked him to forward proof he is losing contracts while waiting for an approval and its urgent. He understood that his lawyer had applied as urgent and included the employment contract and name but they had to resend that last month as well as they said they had no foreign worker name on file. Not sure the lawyer is a help at all!

So He emailed the info about losing work contracts etc yesterday and now they've said they are ringing tomorrow for interview.

How long can we expect now after interview ?

--bebilu23-- just curious what efforts does your employer did to hire PR/Can workers.? Im just worried coz mine was filed february and no news til now. Our HR did advertise tho since november of last year then again this february.. For a retail trade supervisor position. Thanks.

If you advertisement are expired you are im trouble.. Do something right now.. Otherwise its is refusal unless you really lucky.
