LMIA application July 2020

Hi Everyone,

I am looking to apply for LMIA within Canada. I am currently with the same employer from last 2 years. I have a few questions as follows:

1.) I heard if we have PGWP it is optional to apply for closed LMIA work permit. If let say i apply for LMIA only (not closed work permit) and keep working on PGWP, then can i work part time with any other employer along with working full time with LMIA employer.

2.) Related to 1st question, initially i have choose to not apply for closed permit and have obtained LMIA on PGWP. later if i wish, can i apply for closed work permit without having to reapply for LMIA.

3.) Anyone applied for LMIA after March 2020 and got approved? Can you please share your timeline.

After two years working and current ielts bands i have crs score of 430, after LMIA it will be 480.
But i will soon achieve 7778 for 500 crs (including LMIA)

How can someone apply for LMIA? i got terminated from my job, i was on a closed work permit. have 1.5 years work experience in CAnada. CRS score is 451..want to increase it. i am a software engineer..can i apply?

If you were on closed work permit, doesn’t that mean you had LMIA also??

You can't apply for an LMIA. Your employer has to apply for it.

Hi pls help me my employer applied my lmia from 29 april but payment deducted this week and now status is under process i have only one month left in my work permit .please suggest me something or how much tume my lmia ll take more for decision please reply

You don't need LMIA.
With 1.5 years of experience in Canada, you can apply under CEC, 451 is already higher than recent cut-offs for CEC class. Beyond the cut-off, having a higher CRS doesn't mean anything if I am not awfully mistaken.

yes sir, but i had accepted the ITA at 452 points when i had 501 points because of my assured job. WHen i got terminated, i had to update my profile which brought doen the points to 451. Just 1 point below 452 at which i accepted it. i got terminated on 1 july...So unfortunately i had to decline....CEC draws didnt happen in July,
