I am about to submit my LMIA application since I have received ITA. My lawyer says the application will go to Ottawa office, but I am worried if Ottawa transfers my file to the office in my country (since my wife and my son are back home). I have heard that CIC offices in China and India are tougher in background check and they take more time(not sure if it were true).
I worked in China before 2014, and I came to Toronto to study at first then I found a job. My worry is that I have left China and the company for 2 years I don't know how the company will respond if local CIC is doing a background check (although I have a reference letter from one of the MD in the company, copies of company registration and tax registration).
Could anyone who knows about this process provide me some insight about how CIC does the background check in cases like mine?
