As my title insinuates, I'm curious about the possibility of living with my parents while doing my husbands sponsorship for his visa.

I have a good job and I've filled out all of our paperwork. I believe we have everything ready to go (not going through a lawyer to save money) but I'm on the fence about getting an apartment. I'm not really that big of a fan of living alone.

Has anyone else successfully completed a sponsorship while living with other people? Other than dependant children of course.

Thanks a bunch in advance!

It really doesn't matter at all, will have zero effect on PR application.

At this time it doesn't matter...
You may want to consider finding a place for both of you, when your husband is here.

Also, I guess I should ask, does credit history affect sponsorship? I'm currently working on fixing mine.

As long as there is no bankruptcy on your part or your other half it shouldn't be a big issue. And or on welfare

CIC just wants to make sure you can support yourselves without resorting to welfare. Whether you live in your parent's house on in your own mansion is not relevant to the process.

hi guys can you help me out here I have a question, I'm pregnant with my second child and for now I stay at home so I don't have a job and I want to sponsor my husband who is outside Canada so he could help me out here with our kids He promised once he gets here he would work to support us, his family. In my situation, am I still eligible to sponsor him? If I tell the Immigration that I don"t have an Income because I'm pregnant?

If it help, my wife who's sponsoring me is currently living with her parents.
She rented a small apartment for both of us and we sent the contract attached to our packge, saying that she will move in july.
It doesn't really matter at all.
If you and your other half is planning to live with your parents, maybe a cover letter signed by them showing some support may be useful.
But generally speaking, cic don't give a ..... where you living :D
