I am a Canadian Citizen and I have been living with my spouse in her country for 3 months now.. our first application was denied based on bad faith.. I decided not to appeal since my lawyer recommended re-apply option saying it was faster and gave evidence from day 1 we had not given before. We have not re-applied yet but are planning to soon. I heard if I can prove we have having been living together as husband and wife and I am a resident of her country it will be be approved and they will ask for a PPR within 4-6 months, the processing time for her country according to the CIC website is 10 months. My questions are:

Will it be approved for sure if we are living together and show lots of never seen and new evidence?
Is there any way we can come to Canada together as of now and wait for the Re-application to go through?
If we are approved to go to another country can we still apply for Canada?

Thanks!

Whoever told you that was wrong. There are no guarantees, and nothing about if a Canadian lives in same country as spouse, especially for a very short time like only 3 months.

In fact since you were rejected already and are re-applying, your case will be examined much more closely so you could expect longer times.

It depends on what country she's from. If she's visa exempt then it should be pretty easy to come visit Canada.

If she requires a visa, you'll need to apply for a visitor visa and see if she gets approved. In this case she would most likely only be allowed to stay for up to 6 months, then have to return home[/quote]

If we are approved to go to another country can we still apply for Canada?
If you apply for a Canadian PR, you must show evidence that you actually intend to move to Canada. Plus after she gets PR, she would need to live in Canada for a certain time to maintain status. If you are going to some other country to live, then there's no point in applying for Canada PR.

if you are a Canadian citizen, you can sponsor your wife in abroad. you can submit your application by the nearest Canadian Embassy. but they may send your application to Canada. so your application may take longer proceeding.

No you can't. All outland applications from every country in the world, need to be sent to CPC-Mississauga first. NOT an embassy in your resident country. Nobody should ever submit an application to an embassy.

It says right in the link you posted: forward these together with his or her application to sponsor and supporting documents to the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga (CPC-M), Canada.

Last time I checked diplomatic jobs (those guys who live in "less than desirable" countries with their poor spouses unable to work, with tonnes of humanitarian work available across the world) are quite sought after positions. I have a thing for Unions =)) But that is beside the point, the point is there are lots of jobs that require the same commitments, put the same kind of pressures and are less than desirable for one's spouse. I had one of those jobs. But it was my choice and my obligation to deal with my partner's feelings. I knew that the job was important and people depended on me to do it. The pay for the stuff I had to put up with was less than desirable. But I loved what I did and felt that I was doing an good job for the amount of money I signed up for.
