Hi girls, thank to all of you!!!

my friend applied August 2011. she called CIC, they told - next month you'll get your OWP... it was like that 8 months and last time she called CIC (April 2012), they told - you have to wait 17-18 months, now she just gave up to call and talk to them... so frustrating... how is that fair?

I by myself have still to work to complete my 24 months, I will apply in November.

Thank you, girls. God bless all of us!!!!!!

"It's just a pattern, right, with Kenney. Promising the moon and he can't deliver at the end," Gruber Hersch said, noting some caregivers quit their jobs anticipating their open work permit would be in hand before long.

"Ultimately, this inconsistency of open work permits puts great stress on families and caregivers because they can't plan their lives accordingly. Families need to have consistent and secure childcare in place and the caregivers need to arrange for their lives after being a caregiver".

This is so frustrating and depressing how can these people (cic) expect us to be away from our family for so long. I thought Canada was a family centered country. Its clear they really dont care about keeping families together they are creating more broken homes than they would like to think. We come here, work 24 months and have to wait another 23 months just for initial assessment, then to make matters worse they wont give our family members (children) TRV to visit us.
