Live-in Caregivers PR/OWP applicants for 2012 timeline.

Just called the Cic call Center this afternoon, and asked the agent how long it takes for me to receive the letter of appointment for interview, first, she asked me which cic office will contact me, I answered Scarborough then she verified if I applied in Vegreville. I said yes, so she answered: "the office will contact you within two months after receiving your email" ..so it's been a month now, so ill wait for another month. Huh! I need more patience!

thanx for sharing this information dear . But some people have got their letters just in two weeks .i hope it will not be too long for us. My interview office will be same is urs scarborough

yes it is sad and very frustrated.. but anyway my employer asked help from the MP here in my place. we will see if what they can do..im just praying..

When you change your job as caregiver did you apply for LMO for caregiver and work permit for caregiver? If so and you complete 2 yrs in the LCP program I guess you are qualified.

Yes we did all the requirements needed..my employer apply for LMO as well..but i did not apply it outside canada..so im not in live in caregiver class..i dont know what to do..

Congrats CIC phone you on the telephone or mobile phone? They didn't send you a letter just a phone call? That's amazing ! Just now I know they will do phone calls....wish I will receive a phone call from tem too for my interview ....congrats again!

('called in' is just an expression meaning they contacted me for an appointment)
