hI everyone. Im new here, maybe someone can help me and give some details or same with my situation. I just recently pass my application to the Embassy of Canada,Manila under the Live In Caregiver program, its been a months since I pass it. How long does it take before I receive a confirmation from the embassy that they already receive my application? Although they say that the process will take 12-18 moths, is there any way to speed up the application.

i have been in your situation 3yrs ago...rest assured, your application has been received because you made an arrangement for a pick-up of documents at your house, right? in terms of speeding up the process, i'm afraid there is none...canada give fair treatment to all applicants and i think they process all paperworks in order of receipt. check your email regularly because nowadays, they communicate through email (save time and prevent lost mails)...when it comes to processing applications with canada immigration, you need patience, patience, patience and lots of prayers...good luck!!!c",)

i know it take 3 months after you send your documents, before they notify you about it, and your way next to med. exam. ... if im not mistaken... :)

you will first received the acknowledgement of receipt together with your receipt for the pricessing fee and will tell you if you need further requirements...next step would be a speak test...if you pass your speak test, then you will undergo medical exam...c",)

Thanks everyone for the info, well I think thats the best thing I can do is to have a lot of patience while waiting
And of ofcorse pray hard. By the way guys can anyone tell me about the IELTS, although Ive search it in google, where can I download free sample materials, and where can I take the exam? Thanks again. God bless us all :)

Did you also applyfor live in caregiver?how long did you wait?

hi everyone!ielts is not necessary if you are applying under the live-in caregiver. a speak test is what you should pass inorder to proceed to medical. this is a rest given by an approved third party where you will be facing a camera and a monitor and wears a headset. the questions are audible while being flashed in the screen. then your answer (by way of speaking) is being recorded. if i remember well, they have 2 questions that is general(more of like testin your englis conversational skills)...example, hiw dis you celebrate your last bday, what is your most memorable occassion, etc. and the 4 last questions was abt caregiving skills, examples are (in my case): what are the s/s of an allergic reaction, how will you promote oral hygiene to your 72yo client with dentures, which of the ff is not a sign of mycardial infarction(mi) with choices a,b,c,d, your 8yo client fell from stairs, what will you do...you are given 120seconds or 2mins for each question. tip:don't speak while the voice recording is speaking, so that your voice don't overlap and the officer who will review your video will clearly understand your answers. and lastly, before you undergo speaktest, the embassy will send you a letter with instructions/infos of what, where, when...good luck!

thank you so much for the info. Honestly Im really clueless on the flow of processing of application in Canadian Embassy. Although Ive been in Israel for 7 years its really different. By the way, I hope if you dont mind if I ask you this, are you already living in Canada? How long did they process your application?

processing times vary from time to time and from every country or cisa processing office...in my time, in the philippines, it took me 15months of waiting (from the day i submitted my appication until i got my visa)...c",)
