It will start a clean slate beginning April 1, 2011-meaning you add another four years for the cumulative period which is April 1, 2015. LCP without OWP on April 2011 will be eligible to apply for PR still.

The cumulative only applies to those LCP whose applications are refused at the stage one "approval in principle" then the new measures will apply to them. (four years from now)
Hope this helps...
Thanks Bambiegirl! all I wanna hear is that LCP is still eligible to apply for PR. I feel relieved.because my husband, who is the LCP1 just sent application for PR last Feb 2011.

you dont need to show proof of funds you're a returnee employee that is why they ask for letter of employer and valid work permit to support yourself here in Canada. you cannot apply for TRV if your unemployed or no valid wp.

Thank you so much wsongco ;)

Hi Hawk0404,

Check out this link for your Processing fee on your PR apps:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5290E6.asp

And then Add Your OWP, which is CAD150.

Yes, you are right. A whole lot of money! :D

Hi, Bambiegirl. When did you send ur PR & OWP application?

@joyelam & Bambiegirl:

i submitted my application june 2010 and i had access on my ecass March 2011, that's 9 months from the date they receive it. but i called them before, asked them why i couldn't get access to my ecas and the agent check it and he told me that they received it june 8 and started processing august 18. so don't worry too much about access to ecas coz my friend had hers after 6 months of submitting her application. try to call them though and asked them why you couldn't get through yet.

hi everyone. can u please give me ur advise on whether i shud apply for OWP/PR or can i just go for PR without OWP anymore? can i do that? i was told by someone that i can, i don't know.

hello to all again.

Do I need to submit a fingerprint form in my application for Canada police clearance? When I applied to get a fingerprint, they told me that I should enclose the said fingerprint in the application and the CIC will get the Canadian police clearance on my behalf. If that is so, do you know what is the address to put in the envelop? I just lost the envelop given to me with the address on it. Thanks.

ALso, do i need to send a copy of my recent cheque in application to show that I get salary?

Re: Live-in Caregiver PR application sent in 2011 timeline, Welcome...

@kcrie. Its better to submit the application for PR/OWP together. But its up to you if you dont want to work aside from live in caregiver when you receive first stage approval. You can just wait for the PR card. And decide to work in other fields. About you police cert. I submit my PR without PC from Canada. The CIC will get the PC by themselves. I dont know why some get ppl get it. What you need to submit is from you origin country and other country that you live with more than 6 months when your 18 yrs old and above. The best thing is to follow the document checklist in the CIC website. You dont need to send copy of your paycheck as proof. Stick to the document checklist.
