@melody chen:
CONGRATULATIONS!!! another good news to our batch! ;) ;) ;)

@LYNE & SWEETCHAD: Just keep checking your status on eCAS you will be the next in line... :-*

yup i did complete the 24 months.last march 15, 2010 and send my application march 30, 2010, they receive my application april 6 2010, started processing june 21, 2010 and transfered to vancouver cic office may 18 2011. and till now im still working to my employer, even though my work permits expired already last may 10 2011, and its ok. i didin't renew my working permit because i am a implied status right now. meaning i did apply already my PR and OPW before my work permits expires and at the same time i am working still to my employer. if there's a problem they return my application already and did call me.. but they didin't do that. and my wife has a file number already they send the LCP2 kit last year Nov 7, 2010 and send her a receipt and letter file number last feb 3, 2011. thats why im confident that's everything is ok. i keep calling the call center but same old story... is just a waste of time calling them. if it come's it come's =p just trust it to the lord and lord will be incharge.just hang on someone up there is taking care of what ever prob that comes along, remember HIS promise "I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU" trust HIM he will give everything your heart desires.have faith you'll never fail.

Will live-in caregivers be affected by the four-year cumulative duration regulation which came into effect on April 1, 2011?

This regulation establishes a maximum cumulative duration for the period that a temporary foreign worker can work in Canada.

The vast majority of live-in caregivers eventually apply for permanent residence under the Live-in Caregiver Program.

Live-in caregivers who have applied for permanent residence and who have received a positive stage one assessment of their application (“approval in principle” letter) during the cumulative duration period, are exempt from the four-year limit.

For the small number of caregivers who do not seek permanent resident status, or whose applications are refused at the stage one “approval in principle” phase of assessment, the cumulative duration regulation will apply.

As with all other temporary foreign workers, live-in caregivers will start with a clean slate on April 1, 2011. Any work they performed under a valid LCP work permit prior to that date will not be counted towards the four-year cumulative duration limit.
In addition, any periods of absence from Canada (including any time that a live-in caregiver has worked for their employer outside Canada), periods of unemployment, periods of medical or maternity leave spent in Canada will not count towards the four-year cumulative duration limit.

bad news for the LCP program =(

:)CONGRATULATIONS!!! melody chen
