Guys one day is one day! But if it's not a typing mistake they might have gotten over the "backlog" and maybe next week it's going to move a little faster! Let's hope for the best!:)

Finally the Processing is moving even though just a day, hopefully it will move faster..can't wait to get my OWP sooner! ::)

You still can use it if you're going home this year as long as your work permit is still valid and working on the same employer.

My visa and work permit both will be expiring in Dec. 2011, I want to go home and spend some time with my family after finishing my 24 months in August, would come back in October, but my employer would not wait for me over two weeks, I have to be looking for a new employer when I come back, is that ok? I am worried immigration would not let me in if I have no employer, ...

It is better if you have an employer if you take your vacation. Coz immigration might not let you come back if you don't have any employer. Especially if you don't have an open work permit. ;(

Yeah, but that was so unfair, we are waiting 14-15 months to get our open work permit, the decision still with them if they will let you in or send u back home..do they care about our feelings??

Thanks for the replies, I cannot wait for 14 or 15 months to see my family. And I think it might be longer , they don't care how sad we are without our families around but only want to keep us slaves. We are human being, we have feelings.
Does anyone know if they have blocked someone who lost her employer but had valid visa and work permit?

Is there a processing 'freeze' on applications for PR by live-in caregivers? One applicant claims PR processing stopped March 21, 2010.

the only reason why they moved was becos of the bolded.

For all the people in Vancouver. Something that might attract your interest.

we can get some answers to all of our questions.

Did you attend this meeting? i just read about it, I wish i could have gone! :( If you did, can you share the information?
Thanks!

Best to get a twitter account and tweet Jason Kenney with all of your concerns about long processing in canada and overseas for family members. You voice needs to be heard. Government needs to hear from filipino caregiver and what they have been promised to them BEFORE THE ELECTION IN MAY 2011.

@LCPcaregiver twitter doesnt work on mr kenney anymore. ive been twitting him almost evryday. no respond. looks like he got too numb about our issues.

sarah cunanan,,, i've been following ur updates since we're exactly on the same month of filling... pls keep urself posted whatever documents/letter from immigration u will be getting,,, i'm a bit relieved that somehow i am not alone in this kind of situation, but so frustrated as well for this long wait... any family members included for seeking Permanent 'residency?
