yes you're right. we have our own families too and its so hard to be far away with our families. They should have consideration to process our papers faster.

I hear you. CIC used to be able to process the OWP for about 6 months and PR for less than 12 months. What happened, why are they slowing down? Is it because we are no longer required to do the 2nd Medical Examination? Is the growth in the number of caregivers applying for PR over the last couple of years so significant?

Its really disappointing to see the difference in the processing time of the Live-in Caregivers as compared to the other types of applicants. I just thought we should be given more priority cause we have already contributed something to the government through our services and taxes paid.

Either that or they'll think about how to get away from paying EI to LIC applicants. :(
They must be really rude if they'll do that

It's better to see no updates in that page than seeing a 14 mos application processing times or swing a 14-15 mos processing time.this will just make us disappointed.

right , I stopped to check the processing time long time ago, I don't hope to see it starting now, that will mean we have to be a live-in for more than one year, almost another program, and more than two years to renite with our kids. it's not fair, we have suffered enough.

no news this week means 14 full months next one.......My husband heard on the radio this morning that immigration will become more complicated for in or out-country applicants, maybe that is the reason why the process for LCP has be come so time consuming.

hi I'll be applying for permanent residency in July..If I leave my work like 2 months after submitting will that be ok?will it affect my application?

its ok.it will not affect your application.but the problem is u will not have an income anymore.if i were u dont leave your employer unless u have the open work permit.

yeah me too, i am applying for EI and they are asking too many questions, they called me twice already and still not sure if they will approve my EI..:( it is not our fault, had they issued our OWP in time we won't be applying for EI...

@tesa- what is it all about the news from the radio?

Try following rafael_fabregas on twitter, he is fighting for the livein caregivers
