Live-in caregiver PR applicants for April,May and June timeline

Hi! I'm new here in this forum and glad to be part of it.

I still have 1 year to complete to be able to apply for OWP n PR but reading all your stories makes my day goes faster each day! It's so hard for us as a mother to be away from their families back home...I really hope and pray that they will lessen the processing time for LCP. Good luck to all!

Hey Guys,

I have two questions:

#1 How can you check the date when they started processing your application?

#2 Are we going to have a medical exam before/after getting our open permit? Or before we get the PR card?

HI AGIHUN..YOU CAN CHECK THE PROCESSING TIME FOR PR AT CIC WEBSITE AND I BELIEVE CAREGIVERS ARE EXEMPTED FROM MEDICAL TEST SINCE APRIL 2010 BECAUSE OF JUANA TEJADA'S CASE. HOPE THIS HELP! ;D

Update for today is processing up to March 21 and processing time is still 10-11 month. Hopefully by next week they will be in April , I can't wait . 8)

I AM NOT SO NEW HERE, JUST WAITING FOR THE RIGHT TIME, TO POST. ;D

CIC RECEIVED MY APPLICATION ON MARCH 31,2010..STARTED PROCESSING ON JUNE 15..

I CHECKED MY ECAS THIS AFTERNOON AND THANK GOD- DECISION MADE ALREADY.

ALTHOUGH THE UPDATE ON WEBSITE IS THAT THEY ARE STILL PROCESSING THE MARCH 21 APPLICANTS.

IN GOD'S PERFECT TIME...EVERYTHING WILL BE IN ALRIGHT..

YEP I HAVE DEPENDENTS..THEY LODGED THEIR KIT LAST NOV 2010. THEY RECEIVED THE AOR LAST JANUARY 28 AND ASKING FOR ADDITIONAL DOCS AND HUB DROPPED THEM ON FEB. 04, 2011..HOPING MEDICAL REQUEST NA KASUNOD.. ;D

I phoned CIC,,they sent my Open Work Permit on the 22nd of Feb..Hope to have it tomorrow or early next week..

@Ofelia- keep us posted so that we will be inspired while we are in the waiting game! i still have four months for my OWP and i hope by the 9th or 10th month my dependents will receive their LC2 already god bless us!

. . . . You made my day with this, cant believe they processed up to March 31 already ! but on their website, it was processed up to March 21th, oh well i'm happy that by this time next month they will be done with April applications too. 8)
