Live-In Caregiver in Bahrain (Where to submit application?)

Hello Everybody!

I am new to this forum.

I am a Filipino registered nurse in Bahrain. I was planning to lodge my application for FSW this July when CIC stopped accepting applicants. So now, I decided to apply as a live-in caregiver. I sent dozens of emails to job banks in Canada until one host family replied.

My dilemma is as follows:

There is no VISA office here in Bahrain but there is one in Abu Dhabi and one in Riyadh. The processing time for Abu Dhabi is 12 to 14 months while Riyadh's is only 6 months. The problem is I cannot go to Riyadh if interview will be required.

If I pass my application to Riyadh's VISA office, can I just go to Abu Dhabi for interview? Also, I have a multiple entry tourist VISA for US. I am planning to go there this December. Is it better if I pass my application to US's VISA office? I can stay there for 6 months with my sister who is a citizen.

I have spent so much on Consultancies already (for FSW). Any help will be so appreciated

As you are resident in Bahrain, you apply to Abu Dhabi or Manila.

I have temporary working permit here for 2 years. How long usually is the processing in abu dhabi? Can i submit my application in USA since i have multiple tourist visa? I really appreciate your reply. Thanks

You can, but with no ties to the US, the chances of receiving the work visa are close to nil.
