My employer is from Calgary and he applied LMIA which was still LMO that time by himself thru online. No representative. It took 6 weeks for the pre-approval and before 8 weeks final approval came.

Yes it was asked. Just tell the truth how did you find your employer. I got my employer thru job bank and we are not related.

Just wanna share my timeline

May 4,2014 interviewed and hired
May 25, 14 get my medical exams done
July 29, 2014 received my LMO
July 31, 2014 applied for police clearance and passed my
application to VAC.
Nov 30,2014 i finished my contract and decided to go back to phils and waited there.
Feb 6, 2015 my agent received an email requesting for my passport
Feb 23 , 2015 passed my passport to VAC
March 6,2015 last day of visa in hk as tourist. I went to hk immigration to report and hope for an extension unfortunately i dony have my passport yet so they ask me to report again on the 10th of march
March 10, 2015 VAC released my passport and then i went to the hk immigration to report again but by that time i dont have my ticket yet so they ask me to comeback tom with my ticket
March 11, 2015 i was scheduled by my employer to an afternoon flight . So i went to hk immig in the am to show my ticket then gave me an extension of visa until that day . I paid 190 for the extension of visa.
March 11, 2015 canada time safely entered canada.
Hope this info will help those who has the same situation as mine. Be positive. Everything comes at the right time. GOD' perfect timing.

March 30, 2015 - received my passport request from HK immigration (I'm in philippines for 2 weeks vacation and going back HK this APril 7, 2015)

Is this possible because they said it will take 5-6 months process that's why it I can't believe when I receive the email.

Just to share it with you,coz im also worried.
Last feb.19,2015 I received an email for passport requesr.
Feb 23,2015 i submitted my passport to the embassy
March 19,2015,they asked me to do my medical exam.
March 24, I finished my medical
March 30, the clinic forwarded my medical report to the embassy
but until now im still waiting for their decision.
I dont know how long will it take to get my passport back.
Hoping for a positive feedback.
For all of us waiting, lets just hope and pray.

I submit already my medical when I go to CVAC for Visa Application. All the documents needed are attached to my papers I submitted. And it only 2 months and 8 days waiting when I received email for passport request. I only given 15 days to submit my passport for them to continue the process.

I will go back HK today, how I wish my employer will allow me to have my day off tomorrow to submit my passport. Another problem is I don't know how to terminate my contract.

if they are nice employer tell them that you are pursuing another career that make your family satisfy with their needs. if they are not them tell them you want to go back to the philippines to take care of your family im sure they will understand.
