Can you meet your residency requirements (2 out of 5 years)? I'm actually a Canadian PR working in the US on H-1B right now. I'm giving it 2.5 years for my current company to wrap up their American PR application for me. If they don't get it done by then, I'm moving to Canada.

Edited: Are you actually going to cross the border everyday? The only scenario that I can see that as a possibility is living in Windsor and working in Detroit.

Yes i plan to cross border everyday. Living in windsor working in detroit

Willi it affect my pr status

It will not impact your PR status but it will make CIC scrutinize your citizenship application very closely, thus very likely delaying processing of it and greatly increasing the chances of an RQ.
