Hi all, I need some help. I am sponsoring my wife from the Dominican Republic and our case is in process. I received
an email that says she needs to submit a live birth certificate, does anyone know what this is? We submitted
a legalized long form (Acta Inextensa) but I guess this isn't sufficient. Also they asked for school papers, diploma,
transcripts, etc. Is this normal to ask for, why would they need this information? Thanks in advance for everyones help.

Hi Ex-Canuck, I wish I could help but do not know enough so I am replying with a "re-naming" of your original post to flag some of the more experienced forum members. Sit tight they will respond soon enough. Blessings.

Hi, so wife needs to get a birth registration from the hospital where she was born. In the Dominican. Republican many. Births are registered late. At times they were home birth and then. Someone would go to the hospital and register it. Will have to have the records searched for in the archives. Will need to pay some money. The hospital lawyer has to notorized it. Hope this helps. I am Dominican. And had to do this.
