Hi, me and my boyfriend are currently residing in South Africa, Cape Town. I am a British Citizen and he is Ghanian. I have been in S.A nearly 6 years and he has been here over 2 but we want to move to Canada. We want to get a life partnership , we are not ready to marry as we neither of us are finacially stable, how do we move to Canada and get a visa , so we can live there permenantly and work there too , to live there permenantly.
I am studying to be a counsellor and have worked but currently doing minimal work.
Is there a way, is it possible for us to be able to relocate there or not. ?

how about getting a student visa to Canada? enrol in a co-op program to gain work experience

is that the only option?

im done with the studying part. i want to work and live there and so does my boyfriend, we want to make a life there. look i obviously want to study more as u progress in my career but not becuaase of a visa, i have had this whole problem being here in South Africa.

Damn, so don't look like we going to Canada then.

If you have been a foreign student graduated in Canada, you can apply to stay in Canada permenantly under Canadian Experience Class.

Alternatively, if you don't have Canadian experience and really want live and work in Canada, you should be looking for a pre-arranged job in order for you to apply for work permit.

OK, SO EVEN if i came on my own, without my boyfirend, are they the options, apply for a job and get in that way.
i'm willing to do whatever it takes, my career and my future are important to me 8)
