Please update your Indian address to CIC IMMEDIATELY....... Dont wait for anything else, the address is very important.

You should only update your address to your Indian address if you have left Canada for good and no longer have an address there.

PR will come via e-mail.

If your Indian address is your new address, update. Otherwise, leave it at your Canadian address.

JSM... he is from India which is not VISA exempt, he will receive a PPR for VISA stamping and if the address is Canada then the VISA office would obviously be from Canada which would be a problem.

If he updates the address to India since he is India now, if he gets PPR before he leaves Canada, then it would be from Indian VISA office which would be appropriate.

Hope this is right.

Agree with you!

thanks u all for your wonderful replies :)

i can't update my address online on CIC site,, coz its only for canadian addresses ..

should i email my new address to CIC ?

I don't understand the confusion.
You waiting for medical - even if this arrives tomorrow, you have60 days to complete. That takes you to around February 9 2014, give or take.
Assuming it takes 1 month to receive PPR, even if it doesn't though you have plenty of time to come back to Canada to send your passport to Ottawa rather than deal with the issue of asking CiC to let you get your stamp in New Delhi.
While I realize you don't want delays, surely the simplest path is more important as it involves less risk.

You can send a mail to ott-pilot and provide them the new address, there is a format you need to follow;

send the mail to OttPilot-Immigration @ cic.gc.ca with subject line that includes your AOR number and the purpose of the mail (for eg - address change)

Include the following information in the mail;

UCI -
File number -
Name -
Type of application -
Date of Birth -
Date of AOR -
Place of Birth -

Current Address for communication:

you will get an automated response and within 1 week you can see that the address is changed

Good luck
