Hi everyone,
I have been trying to get advice from senior members on this but haven't been able to.

I applied for SOWP in April 2019 and was refused in 10 days on 179(b) purpose of visit.
Backgronud: My husband applied for his closed work permit in August 2018 and we got married in November 2018. He has a full time working job (NOC A). His application was to be processed in two weeks, as part of GTS but for some reason, it took long and he received his visa in December 2018 and landed in March. Throughout the process for his visa, he was guided by a consultant appointed by his employer who was informed about our marriage. The consultant had asked to apply for my visa after a few months of his arrival, as his application was already in process. We were never guided about informing IRCC about change in marital status.

We ordered GCMS notes. It says, "Listed spouse failed to disclose marriage to applicant which ostensibly occurred prior to visa/work permit issuance. Not satisfied with applicant's actual intentions".

From what I've seen on different forums, it's family sponsorship or PR applications that are denied sponsorship for not declaring marriage. Are we in equal trouble for SOWP? What are our options?

As his app was still in process, your husband was required to update IRCC about his marriage.

Thanks, Canuck. Does this mean I won't be eligible for SOWP no matter how many times I reapply, the same way it works for family sponsorships? Or something can work out in next application?

It doesn't make you ineligible. It just made the VO doubt your intentions. You can apply again and try to explain.
