5 years is a very long wait , must have had some complications. Not long to one is long to another . On a simple application a year is to long . And the long wait at the Manila embassy is a symptom of a problem . As everyone knows most things take longer in the phills but the Canadian embassy in Manila simply needs consistency on there procedures.

it was a very simple application (no kids, no ex's) It was denied......yep, that happens a lot. Had to appeal........5 years in total.

Do you think Manila is the only place where there is a problem with consistency ? I could tell you horror stories that goes on at many embassies.

that is indeed crazy and totally unacceptable, on a simple application. I have heard many stories on most embassy's , I'm sure most are back logged and under staffed. Not much any of us can do except the usual things, call MP, email our government etc...
Most problems at these embassy's could be avoided with proper procedures, such as consistency on updating ECAS, and PPR requests.... but will be long after our time if that improves....

you guys are very naïve. Your wait times are not that long.

Try waiting 5 years !

We are not naive..without any change on online or any updates is crazy especially that it was made..crazy to wait passport with visa for 9-10 months after ppr and many things matters too like red flags.passport is important thing that they should not hold for so long..they should yes have proper procedure.

I already read few .but to be honest with what they do , they cannot help fraud marriage ...and can't be test with what they see on application ..I'm thinking about why you and your spouse got denied.

"not genuine" I guess the VO knew more than we did.

Moving forward. He landed 1 year ago and I am happy I didn't cancel . The stress was simply overwhelming.

Guys can we all please sign these petitions. The inland petition got about 2475 signatures and CIC took notice.
In this Information Age, it should be easy to gather as many signatures pretty quickly. Doing this sitting in comfort of our homes or office should not be a difficult task. Some us have 2 or more email id's. Please sign with as many as possible. we can gather 4 signatures per household easily.

There is about 60 and 170 signs in these 2 petitions. Lets increase that number please

Hi every one want to ask a question. My medical is expiring on 12th of April and I am from Portugal basically applied from Portugal and currently I am on holidays and visiting my brother in Norway and I have plan to stay here for another 2 months so my question is can I do my remedical here in Norway if requested or do I have to go back to Portugal and done my re medical there?????

Canada has this stingy habit of concentrating their embassies in one country instead of having embassies in as many countries as possible. Manila alone serves 3 heavily populated countries with limited staffs. I don't know why they have to make people go through this perilous journey just to get into Canada, at the end we ask ourselves was it really worth it. we hope they can hire more staffs especially those who can provide them with advise on how to improve their operations. Just to do background checks on an individual will take so long whereas they have data bases to help speed up the process. God created this world without boundaries why are we preventing people from moving migration is also a right

I am April applicant everything is ok with my file so far the only thing left is the security and criminality checks. We just have to wait. @ gsize I am sorry about your ordeal, no one wish to go through that.
