Hi
Me and my husband wants to start up a topic for those people who are waiting for so long on their applications .As it' makes everyone frustrated and lower our patience .processing times of every vo is unacceptable especially to those spouses who cannot even travel to see and be with their husbands/wife while the processing is going on ...this is not only for my application but to everyone far from their spouses too!

We started sending our application august 18,2014,update form September 17,2014 ,
Got sa November 5,2014
Received in canadian embassy Manila November 14,2014 and got our passport request January 9,2015 and until now we don't hear anything from embassy...we might have home address now added with the recent mailing address but I'm not sure how does it matter..

No updates online
No medical received
No in process even
Our passport now will be two months with them

Feel free to join

I'm from brazil and its the one of the fastest VO in world and even this way I think it's ridiculous to wait so long.
As I can see on this forum, Manila is the worst VO in the world. :(

We applied in Feb 2014 heard nothing till NOV 2014 when my husband had his interview, since then we had a few requests for updated documents but our file did not yet change to medicals recieved. Its been 4 months since the interview and 14 months since we started the process... Its been such a hard road im slowly losing myself :( Our VO is Ankara and thier current processing time is 10 months (it went down last month from 14 months|)

You should have email this to your vo ..you're waiting more than your processing time..mine still don't have yet but can't really do anything as our processing time in Phil's is 17 months ..

Well atleast you're almost reaching the end of the waiting game. Youre already PPR. Anyways,
I have a question for you. What docs were requested and how did you send it to them?

unfortunately not, Canadian Embassy in Phils are requesting passport at the beginning of the process....they have my wife's passport since September, then we had to request it because we were traveling abroad, and sent it back end of October. since then, no news on our case, and no update on the website.... :(

Well it is not really sure ..at most now in Phil's got ppr like June but got visa when 2015 started..they hold passport for 4-5 months and some got on it's 6-7 ,so still me and my husband needs to be strong and hope big..we will try to work about this to the embassy..and plus processing times of Phil's is 17 months...

I totally agree!!! At most now got visa after many months of waiting for the passport to get back...I'm not sure even if many will join to do rally Infront of the embassy with this issue..like what will they do for the passport for many months on the embassy??? We got ppr and received no news from cem..

You mean ppr? They just asked me to send appendix a and my passport..no news until now...i even thought having ppr was great but it gets bit sad too knowing nothing on ecas has changed.no medical received,no in process of visa,no dm..plus most now in Phil's takes a long time to get visa after ppr.

PPR isn't the end for people being processed through Manila. Unlike most VOs, Manila requests passports closer to the start of processing.

Nope totally not the end..you may got ppr and waited for 4-7 months after just the ppr.sounds crazy right?im wondering how the visa looks like and it will took until those months of processing it..yeah unlike other vo,they got ppr and not to wait so long and got dm then visa..Phil's is very very slow like a snail

8-4-2014 –Application Sent
8-6-2014 –Application Received by CIC
9-8-2014 –August2014 Updated Forms Sent
2-23-2015 –AOR (Email)
2-23-2015 –Sponsorship Approval – (Email)
Medical Received (E-Cas)
2-23-2015 –Decision Made (E-Cas)

Here is my timeline – Manila VO.
Submitted my application august2014, It takes 6months 3weeks to get response from CIC. I don't have PPR yet. But base on our ECAS status we have DM. (We sent you a letter on February 23, 2015 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us). Hope it's a positive DM, still waiting for that letter from CIC. It's very unusual because majority from Manila VO is getting PPR before DM. We got our AOR, SA, DM in one day. (all in one)

Hi my case is also taking so so long. I applied in June on 17th and visa office is Paris. Current processing time is 8 months and next month 8 months will be completed and not much movement in my case so far. The Paris visa office requested me two times some documents first time they asked me to send them my Portuguese residence permit after they asked me to send them again as it was for one year valid and I got my second Portuguese residence permit which was valid for 2 years. And now last months on 13th they again requested me to send them prove of cohabitation and communication so we sent them on 19th of last month one thing more as I am Muslim and as per our Muslim culture we didn't speak or contact with each other before our marriage and it was an arranged marriage I don't know why it is taking so long!!

There doesn't seem to be a procedure that is followed, some get PPR and then no update for months on ecas , others get DM before PPR.... It's like no one knows what they are doing and the Canadian embassy in Manila ..... They just do what they feel like doing with no consistency

you guys are very naïve. Your wait times are not that long.

Try waiting 5 years !
