Linking the application

Hello,

For the past 3 days I've been trying to link my application to the online account. I have recieved the UCI and Application numbers on Friday, and I am sure I've been entering my date of birth, place of birth etc correctly (3 days in a row=total of 15 times already!) but at the end it always says that something went wrong and some information were not correct. What's there to be uncorrect? I have just reported a technical issue to CIC- I hope they can help. Anyone is having similar problems?

Try this:

Not mine. Credit goes to the owner.

"1. Logged in with GC Key account.
2. Permanent Residence > Family Class (Spouses)
2. Application Number and Family Name - Copy/pasted application number from email (including the F) and entered PA's last name. If you don't have App Number, use Family Name, Birthday, Place of Birth
3. City of Birth - I entered 1 space (hit spacebar once)
4. Country of Birth - Selected PA's country of birth
5. Passport Info - Did not enter any passport info
6. Other Application Info - Filled out the other application info as per our application and put '2' as the number of members in the application."

For me all these steps work except number of applicants were 3,
That number was in my AOR1 letter.

Yep - sorry, no guarantees!

The secret of success seems to be to enter the bare minimum of information that the screen validations will allow (no matter what data combination you use) - the less information you enter, the smaller the chances are that they entered it slightly differently in the CIC offices.

....and yes, it is a completely crazy system for linking, especially when there are so many other proven methods out there already (simple email back to the email address you gave with a 'once only' code - sound familiar??!)!

Hi I just got an email this morning with an application # F000xxxx - Is this same as AOR? Also I used up my attempts today, no luck at all. Has anyone called the CIC for help or we have to try out different combinations?

.just tried it on my last attempt and unfortunately..."Number of Failed Registration Attempts Exceeded"......AGAIN
