Is there any point? What kind of info will it show before aor? Will it show if your app has been sent back or accepted?
there's nothing stopping you from trying, however it's usually not a possibility for most people to do. if you are even able to do it, more than likely it's because you had another type of application with IRCC and the system probably won't have any information about your spousal sponsorship application yet. if it does have information, it will be very limited. Technically, until they issue the AOR, your application isn't really considered "received" or opened.jeff198901 said:Is there any point? What kind of info will it show before aor?
doubtful. any information about communication they send you will be general and will say "we sent you notification/communicaiton on xxx about your application". it doesn't tell you specifics of what they send.jeff198901 said:Will it show if your app has been sent back or accepted?
it just means your application hasn't been added to the system yet. it does not suggest it is lost. MyCIC is not updated in real time and only indicates what the IRCC officer updates on their end.jeff198901 said:I just tried and it says "based on the information you entered, we found no applications"
Does this mean it was lost? Or just not able to link yet?
So I shouldn't worry about this?CDNPR2014 said:it just means your application hasn't been added to the system yet. it does not suggest it is lost. MyCIC is not updated in real time.
It doesn't mean anything. It means there is no application on file as of right now. I know we sent our application in at the same time; you can't reasonably expect to get your AOR until at least the end of this week or the beginning of next week. And 99% of the time you can't link your application until you receive your AOR.jeff198901 said:I just tried and it says "based on the information you entered, we found no applications"

No. you shouldn't worry about anything in MyCIC. it really isn't reliable and as mentioned, it's too early to assume you can link your application. you will just need to wait and not assume anything until you actually receive notification from IRCC.jeff198901 said:So I shouldn't worry about this?
it takes 1-3 weeks to receive AOR right now. and it can go upbased on application volume. it should always be assumed it'll take more time, not less time, when it comes to IRCC.jeff198901 said:Thank you guys! They have only had my app 3 week days so I figured it might be too soon!
Just thought I might be one of the lucky ones to be able to link before aor

I would advise against it. There seems to be a probability of your MyCIC message requests not coming through. I have seen atleast 1 case where they linked before getting AOR1 and then kept complaining about not seeing the message (doc requests) CIC sent them. There might be no correlation at all... but in my opinion, wait for the AOR. Why do something unnecessary.jeff198901 said:Is there any point? What kind of info will it show before aor? There are tons of people with that problem and linking prior to AOR probably had zilch to do with it. It's more likely some massive glitch in their new "better" system of asking for information that could easily have been included in the application in the first place.Screenager said:I would advise against it. Not lost, I wouldn't worry. The most you're going to be able to see at this point would be that you'd have a temporary application number. For me, the temporary application number changed on MyCIC the day before I received an AOR e-mail. While it's very likely your application has been opened at this point, it's probably not ready for linking yet. I could see in my GCMS notes that my application was opened two days after arriving at the office. AOR didn't come for another 21 days.jeff198901 said:Thank you for the help! I'm not too concerned about the waiting part, I just wanted to make sure this was normal and my app didn't get lost or something!
