I am only interested in LMIA for PR which is for free. My employer doesn't need LMIA to hire someone from outside he wants to support my PR through Express Entry.
As I understand from the website someone posted before, LIMA for PR purposes is for free and it take about 10 days to process (as someone posted before) Of course the advertisement has to be for at least 30 days but he has an add for more than 3 moths alread.
Do the advertisements that have been made for 3 months already meet the criteria in the links you have been given above?

Hi Everyone,
I just past the Celpip test and I will apply for express entry this week, my points will be around 450-500 (out of 1200).
I have a good job offer from a small company. They advertised the job for more than a month.
Is that easy to get an LMIA? Is it long process? I have heard it is very difficult and lot of people are rejected.
The good thing about this job is that, they asked me to design a circuit. I have 3 publications exactly on what they need and what they posted. So I was thinking they may be able to get LMIA.
Could anybody guide me please?

THanks

Hi,
Welcome to the forum.
Regarding LMIA, make sure it is advertised in the websites CIC mentions i.e., National Job Bank or its provincial/territorial website.

A job posting is an announcement of an employment opportunity in a public medium such as in newspapers, on job posting websites, etc. It provides a broad exposure of the vacancy to Canadian and permanent residents who would be potential candidates for the position.

To meet the minimum advertising requirements set by the Program, employers must advertise:

On the national Job Bank or its provincial/territorial counterpart in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, the Northwest Territories, Quebec or Newfoundland and Labrador
The advertisement must be posted for a minimum of 4 weeks starting from the first day the ad appears and is accessible to the general public.
The advertisement must remain posted to actively seek qualified Canadians and permanent residents until the date a labour market opinion is issued.
Using 2 or more additional methods of recruitment consistent with the normal practice for the occupation.
as a minimum, employers must choose one method that is national in scope, since people in higher-skilled positions are often mobile and willing to re-locate for work; and
employers can choose one or more recruitment methods among these:
print media (national or provincial/territorial newspapers, national journals, magazines with national coverage, specialized journals, professional associations magazines, newsletters, etc.);
general employment websites (canadastop100.com, vault.com, workopolis.com, monster.ca, etc.); and,
specialized websites dedicated to specific occupation profiles (e.g. accounting, marketing, biotechnology, education, engineering, etc.)
The advertisement must be posted for a minimum of 4 weeks starting from the first day the ad appears and is accessible to the general public.

As you mentioned your company is small one also make sure whether your employer is eligible to apply for LMIA. I remember there are some conditions on this lines too. Make sure your employer pays at least median salary which are based on your NOC & province.

And Yes, if your skill is unique and more specific your employer might be issued a positive LMIA.

Good luck!
