I am creating EE profile and got confused.
However I answer I am afraid I am making mistake.

Under "Intended work in Canada"

Do you have job offer - YES

As my employer gave me job offer for permanent job

Was a positive Labour Market Information Assessment (LMIA) issued for the job offer in Canada? - NO

As I have LMO not LMIA

Was a positive Labour Market Information Assessment (LMIA) issued for the current work permit? - NO

As I have LMO not LMIA

I am working on TWP. On the job history when I enter my current job in Canada i got:

Working legally in Canada during this time? YES

Which of these categories does ------- job fall under? WHAT SHOULD I CHOSE:

Work Permit Required, no LMIA required
or
Work Permit and LMIA required

I me I needed work permit and LMO to get TWP.

Please help

Why they don't write LMIA/LMO or when you click on help to read the description to say LMIA or LMO.

I am too afraid to say YES in order not to be accused that I life or misinterpret.

I mean I have LMO and if that is a case I will surely get invitation if I can get 600 points from LMO.
My question is: IS THERE A WAY TO VERIFY THIS?

As I spoke with CIC agent like two months ago on the phone and she clearly said to me that LMO is not LMIA and for LMO you are not getting points?

Hey please help me.. I have my lmo not the lmia.. I submitted my ee profile. I got an email confirmation saying in eligible for we can I resumbit my ielts marks..

Brother you are still confused about LMIA = LMO ..do not worry say yes and proceed further. I have already given you link about LMO and LMIA are same and that also from cic website..raising same question again n again making other people confused. One more time pleAse find the link below.

If you want new LMIA, try to talk to your employer to provide one but this will shot in the moon if you are currently working. Just try to get a new Job Offer Letter signed by your employer then use your old LMO in your profile. Then if you don't want to use your old LMO its up to you.

Bro LMO name changed to LMIA so it's quite simple you will find new name not old one .

Yes I have LMO too gonna apply soon. Do not worry About LMIA if you have valid LMO.

My LMO was issued last year in July/August for job position of 24 months.
Is that LMO valid?

I mean to say not expired LMO..yes your LMO good to go.

Where do you find the expiration date on the LMO?

On my LMO it says to what date you can use it to apply for TWP? If that is the expiration date then it is long expired?

Just called CIC and the agent confirmed that if you have LMO and valid job offer you are getting 600 points.
Acording to them LMIA is LMO but just different terminology.

Can anyone else call and ask to verify from different agent?

Hi ,

When you say..LMO do you mean the approval letter that you received from cic? How do we find out what is the LMO reference if any...and confirm if that is active or not.

I am talking about the document that my employer got form Service Canada.
On top of the document it says:

"LABOR MARKET OPINION CONFIRMATION FOR # NUMBER"

Is there any other document?

In this document on page 3 in the ANNEX there is the following:

Opinion expiry date 2013- xx - xx*
*Please take note that the Foreign Worker must apply to CIC for a work permit prior to this date

Down in the letter there is the following:

Duration of Empployment: 24 Month(s)


Is this Valid LMO?

I read somewhere that there are two types of LMO, one for permanent job other for temporary? Does this matter?
