We know Indian degrees. They are full of so much information yet it isn't necessary for a student to really understand what's being taught. All teachers here care about is seeing their students getting good marks in exams.. that's all.
So yes degrees don't mean anything really, if you don't know how you'll apply what you learned from your formal education in real life. If someone has great English, communication skills and a will to work hard, adjusting in the job market will be somewhat easier for them in Canada.
At least that's what I think is the case.

Almost forgot, the OP had asked about something interesting about Canada. Well it's the world's second largest country (physical size wise) and can handle population at least 50 times the population it currently has. It's one of the most developed countries having a very tolerant and open culture. Canadians are stereotyped for saying 'sorry' and 'eh' a lot and being extremely mannered. Canadians have Elizabeth as their queen too.... anyways, it's a great country but has its own negative points I'm sure like any other country. ^_^

Having one opens more doors then not having one. What you do when you get through those doors is up to you.

If you want higher chances of getting a job, get education in a field where there is a need right now. Accounting for example is over saturated, if you graduate from accounting program, you will most likely have trouble finding a job.

definitely specialize on what career you want to be in.

Also the most important thing is to get a program with Co-op which allows you to gain Canadian experience which will make it easier to find work after you graduated - I cant stress this enough.

My co-op helped me too much to get a good corporate job

Its nothing like accounting is saturated. My friends who are doing accounting already got the permanent job even though they didn't finish their course. The bottom line is that You should be interested in the stuffs what you are doing.
