Hi please share your experiences after you left your caregiver position and after you got your Residency.
What job do you have right now?
Did you study? What course did you take? Was it worth it? How is it?
I am so confused on what course should i take, i am working as cleaner now, it is not the job i want but it is a start.
Please share yours? It could really help everybody. Thanks! :)

Just landed last year, August 2014. I am already accepted in the University and will start this coming fall taking up Accounting as this is also my background and would like to work again in the same field. But i am still working in the same employer as my rate is more than what i will get working somewhere else. I had done residential and commercial cleaning, babysitting, bookkeeping but i am not happy anymore doing this jobs other than the caregiving ( considering that i get a yearly increase). With this my employer and i agreed that i can still work part time and study until i get a full time job in the field of accounting. It all depends on what are your goals, long term goals, your interest

The question is, what are you passionate about? If you want to go back to school, be sure to go with Public Colleges like Centennial, Humber, Seneca or if you prefer University will do as well. That is short term pain but long term gain. In my case, I did part time working as nanny with my previous employer and the other part time I did volunteering to gain Canadian experience. I didn't go back to school just yet, because I had experienced in the Phils as Accounting Clerk with Multinational Company for over 7 years. I had my school credentials evaluated by World Education Services and luckily the Canadian Equivalency of my education is Diploma in Business Administration and Management. So I used that to find job in Accounting together with my 1 year Volunteering part time experienced and fortunately I found job as Accounts Receivable Administrator for over 1 year now. But to be honest, I love what I am doing now although too stressful sometime, but if you ask me if I will to compare if where I can have savings and being love more of what you do; I will choose being a nanny because it's all free and kids loves me so much. While now, I have to pay my own auto insurance, apt rental and etc.. Lucky you guys you already have your PR but mine still holds my OWP. I want to pursue CGA but unfortunately they still consider me as international student. Good luck on your career. Determination is the ability to do something without fail. And a quick note determination is actually closely associated with resilience ;)

Thanks for the response ladies, i was thingking of business administration but i don't have any background for that, considering ECE and RPN too but i always see myself in an office setting, I'm not sure how the job demands are, and health care is where the money is like they say, it is confusing to start a new life again.
