Guys, I have a prospective employer that will sponsor me under the Live-in caregiver program. She submitted the 32 pages application for LMO last Feb 18, however, she did not let me sign the contract before submitting. Does it affect the application process? I read a lot of threads here that the live-in caregiver must sign first the contract before the prospective employer applies for LMO. Please enlighten me! Thanks!

Employer can send assessment for LMO without the EMPLOYEES signature. This was what happen to my wife when she applied under LICP.

Yes, I believe the critical signature is the EMPLOYER signature. I obtained an LMO based on a contract NOT yet signed by my nanny.

Thanks for sharing infos. I believe I am on the right track. ;D

If you don't mind, how long did you wait for the release of LMO?

Are you already in Canada?Did your wife sponsor you to go there?

It took us a long time - something like 14 weeks. I'm not sure why, and I don't believe it is usually that long. I have friends who have obtained LMO's for nannies in the last couple of years much more quickly - more like 8 to 10 weeks.

wow nice! may I know the area you applied for LMO? My employer told me last time that the processing for LMO is about 2 months. They are from BC.
