Hi all : as per my post today I get medical and een booked the DMP appointment : http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/after-long-waiting-recvd-medical-request-today-noc-0213-t73792.0.html

I have query that my wife had 2months ago Lichen Planus disease in which there is an itchy rashes on the skin over the back body, legs , hands and some in mouth. hand legs and mouth dont spread more disease, but on backside this Lichen Planus left some black and brown marks on body, right now sometime she face this problem, last week we found some spot on body and we consult dermologist, doctor told us that this Lichen Planus is not spread any disease human to human or person to person, this is common disease to human body due to getting less sun light and told us continue to same medicine, nomore medicine for this and take sun bath or sun light as much as you can but not burn your body. Doctor told us that it is common in child and middle-age people, even if she wear gold , medication and by some chemical will risk factor for this disease.

My question is that any problem during our medical examination for my spouse? this disease is not spread person to person in contact so it's safe but I am not sure.

Please share your point of information here.

Although Lichen planus is not contagious and you cannot get this disease from someone else, and you cannot give it to anyone ,but its my advice to get it fixed before medical exam , as its curable .
Visit to number one Dermatologist in your homeland and get medications and advice .Ask him/her for Terrasil

Some other tips for managing Lichen planus

Skin

Limit stress. Stress can make lichen planus worse.
Try not to scratch. Covering the rash with a bandage can help.
Calm the itch. Applying a cool cloth or using an oatmeal bath treatment can help. You can buy an oatmeal bath treatment at a drugstore.
Try not to injure your skin. A skin injury can cause an outbreak where the skin was injured.

Mouth

If you have lichen planus in your mouth, you may have a higher risk of getting cancer in your mouth (oral cancer). Here are some
things you can do to reduce that risk:

Stop smoking, chewing tobacco, and drinking alcohol.
Get a screening for oral cancer every 6 to 12 months from your dentist or dermatologist.
Brush twice a day.
Floss daily.
Visit your dentist twice a year for a checkup and cleaning.
Stop consuming foods and beverages that can worsen lichen planus in the mouth. The culprits are spicy foods, citrus fruits and juices (such as oranges and grapefruits), tomatoes and foods made with tomatoes (such as salsa, pasta sauces, and ketchup), snacks that are crispy and salty (such as corn chips), drinks that contain caffeine (such as coffee, tea, and cola).

Scalp and nails
If you have hair loss or nail problems, you should see a dermatologist. Without treatment, these may not re-grow.

Genitals
If you have red areas or open sores, you need treatment. Dermatologists treat lichen planus on the genitals.

Again ,ask your dermatologist for all of treatments and tips

Good Luck

Thanks Kanamen , Doctor advice my wife to get sun light, clean skin well , I guess she get this because of medication, she get medication some months ago becasue she dont want pregnancy right now, that cause may be possible to get Lichen planus too (as doctor said) but now she dont have in mouth this disease spots, some appeared some limited time when she use ointment and cream then it's ok and get relax but skin got thick those part where she applies gel.
her medical gel is : Clobetasol Propionate Gel 0.05% and cream is : Clobetasol Propionate Cream USP , 0.05%.

so, this cream and ointment works for it, and its costly : 1) USD$ 72.00 and 2) USD$60 for just 60grams each weight.

@ Kanamen,

What would you say for someone who has bells palsy, is he likely to clear the medicals ??

It may depends on nature of bells palsy as it affects each patient differently. Some cases are mild and within weeks symptoms subside on their own ,Thats OK.But some need treatment like steroid ,antiviral drugs, therapies , medical tests, even decompression surgery .This situation may pose burdon on medical system.

@Kanamen,
Can you share specifically what checks are usually done in medicals, like chest x rays, stool / urine tests, blood tests, eye sight, teeth, throat, etc.I want to know if there happens any test that requires you to say "cheers" as it is normally done to determine if someone is fully recovered or not or someone can be asked to blow a whistle ! these kind of checks are done in meds or not ??
Actually anyone afflicted with BP gets fully recovered within 8 weeks max, but in some cases where it prolongs, the chances of 100% recovery almost diminish. In such cases there are no treatments and even if you do, they hardly work, but in such old cases there comes a time when looking at your face no one can say that you had any issues, but when asked to do the tests described above, one can know that you still not fully recovered. So saying that such cases would be a medical burden is not right in my opinion. My only concern is whether such applicants may face a rejection because of it or considering it is not a contagious one, it is just ignored.

Lichen Planuse disease "NO Problem" At all... Remember if disease not spread "person to person" it's ok, but doctor explained me that if disease spread person to person than VO might be ask you more test that depend on disease.
