License for NOC 2173 after ITA

Hello Everyone,

I received ITA in August under Federal express entry program. While going through work experience requirements again I read about needing license for NOC 2173.
I studied at a Canadian university and have a full time offer which is not related to 2173 responsibilities but the role is in IT. So if I don’t wish to work in 2173 NOC profession do I have to get license to leverage my past experience of application developer.

If you received ITA under FSWP, then no need of license.

if you have received an ITA under SINP, then license is required

Does NOC 2173 requires License?? 2173 looks more apt for my Job Description, but if it requires License is it ok if i go ahead with 2174??

For Express Entry license is not required. It was required only for SINP.

Me too have the same confusion. My roles and duties matches with both NOC 2173 and NOC 2174.

So if I create my EE profile under 2173, that woudnt be a problem for both PR and job...right, preetsingh? That is, I can find a job under NOC 2173 and start working without any Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

While creating express entry profile i have entered my primary NOC as 2173.For the question does this NOC require regulation, i have mentioned NO. I have got the ITA.

is it ok to mention NO?
