I'd love to but I'm really busy with interview, apartment hunting, packing(hate it) ...what a life! :D

Guys, I know you are planning a protest in Toronto... can't make it there, live in Alberta. Anyways, I'm not the type of person to organize the whole thing in EDMONTON but I know for sure 10 Live-in Caregiver in the city and might be able to get everyone together!
So if anyone is out there who feels like being a leader and get things going, write me ok?
Thank you!
I really feel it's time to do something! Man, I just can't believe that we will have to wait 17-18 month!!! God, this is not what we were expecting ey!!??

@ sarah cunanan: I think so, we will know for sure in the meeting.

@GLana i just email westcoast domestic workers association in bc too. i sent this thread to them and let them know that migrante and atty. fabregas are helping with this. hopefully they will organize one in vancouver. i wish it will be the same time as ontario so it'll be louder and bigger. let it be canada wide! let that cic know that we don't want to settle anymore in this crap! and we have families back home waiting for us! conditional PR!

Meeting to plan the protest - Saturday - Oct 8th - 1p

Address: 606 gerrard street east (Broadview and gerrard)
The place is a community centre that caregivers and members of migrante drop in on saturdays.

In general, on this meeting we will talk about:
- what we need to do to show the population what we are going through and get them to help us to solve the problems on the LICP
- what we need to do to show to the government what we are going through, give them our ideias about how to make the LIC Program better, get some answers and the program working better.
- tools in hand for the protest: posters, flyers, megaphone ...
- invite 'key people' to help us on the protest
- set the day, time, location of the protest in Toronto

Bring your thoughts and ideas!
