Letters of job reference

Hi,
I'm reading the 2013 FSWP application guide and it says i need to submit letters of job references from my previous employers, indicating the positions i've worked in, duration and the nature of my employment itself.

It may be difficult for me to obtain such letters of job reference, and I was thinking if I can use employment offer letters and payslips in its place. Has anyone done that?

Well then it may be difficult for you to get the PR also. Provision of reference letters is mandatory and with job responsibilities mentioned in adequate detail. It is recommended to read the relevant document check list.

If u r claiming points for work experience, then u need to provide reference letter.

If u r not claiming points for previous experience, then only general certificate,pay slips, appointment letter will do

Thanks very much for your advice. Looks like I must somehow contact my previous employers to get them to provide a letter of reference, as I need to get points for work experience.

Your welcome brother! And make sure you satisfy all the requirements and get all the mandatory information included in the experience letters:

Letters must be:
> Written on company's letterhead
> Signed by a responsible officer
> Show company's complete address and contact info
> Stamped with company seal (if applicable)

Letters must include:
> The specific period of employment with the company
> Positions you have held during period of employment and time you spent in each position
> Main responsibilities and duties in each position (MOST IMPORTANT PART)
> Your total annual salary plus benefits in each position
> No. of hours worked per week in each position.

You may add additional supporting documents like: work contracts and pay stubs.
