Hello members,

I had submitted my application for Canada PR through express entry on December 5th of 2020 since my IELTS score was expiring on December 15th of 2020. I got a letter last week stating that my application has been rejected because of an expired IELTS score? Can I submit a request to reconsider my application since my score was valid on the day of applying?

If yes, then what is the best way to do that? Also, should I take help from an immigration lawyer?

Thanks.

This is a mistake from the agent. IELTS needs to be valid only at the time of the application. You a great chance of reopening.

Update:
My application was reopened and I have been asked to attach Payment of fees for an Express Entry, and in the letter it says :

You are requested to send us new processing fees so that our office can continue processing your application. Please follow the instructions on how to attach Payment of fees for an Express Entry application on our Website and to avoid any further delays, please provide us with the processing fees within 7 days from the date of this correspondence.
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/apply-permanent-residence.html

When you go to this link, there is no option to pay the fees as a primary applicant., there are options for different categories such as a spouse, children, paper application, etc., but not as the primary applicant for Expres Entry.

Has anyone faced a similar situation in their case? If yes, how did you make the payment?
