hello everyone..me and my wife submitted our inland sponsorship application a week ago..We sent the letter of solemnization instead of the marraige certificate since we didnot have it at that time..i was reading on the forums that if you send just the letter of solemnization you have to include a cover letter saying you will send the marraige certificate later..unfortunately we didnot know this at the time of our submission hence we didnot include a cover letter..now the good news is that we received the marraige certificate today and will be sending it out by tomorrow and request them to attach it with our original file..my question is- is there any possibility that they might return our application as incomplete just cuz of the letter of solemnization? thanks in advance!! :)

According to me you have to send the marriage certificate at least now instead of wasting time. There is no sense in waiting to see what would happen. you should attach a covering letter explaining the situation.

well since u dont have a file number how are the going to match it up?

Enclose a photocopy of the Receipt of fee payment - Form IMM5401 together with the document.

I agree to Kedeisha. Sending a copy of marriage certificate is only a matter of few dollars.

they are not gonna send back a file for 1 piece of paper bcuz when its sent back they will be given a UCI and IO info so that IO will still have to process when they get back the entire file and 1 piece of paper but who knows what these ppl do

:D I have the same opinion too Kedeisha. I suggested to send the paper only for the sake of peace of mind to the applicant who is still worried about what would happen due to the non-submission of said document. However, the CPC has their discretion.
