Is it necessary to add the Letter of Explanation? Also how to upload additional documents like educational documents?

Thanks for replying. Would appreciate it if you could answer a few more questions? I found the online document requirement and paper based so different to the point of confusing. Even my VAC are not sure what's online.
Would be great if you could suggest me on :
a. Whether is it best to apply paper based or online?
b. How come the online application does not ask us for our educational documents or police certificate online?
c. is it a good idea to upload it some how?
d. Is it compulsory to apply for temporary resident visa from Pakistan- especially if the program is of 3 years?

a. online application is more convenient than the paper based because you only need to scan the required documents whereas in paper based you need to submit the original or the certified true copies of those documents. paper based, somebody from VAC will check if you submitted ALL the required documents. please take note that a more convenient application doesnt equate to better chances of visa approval so its still up to you to decide.
b. police clearance are asked in online application. you also have the option to upload your transcripts/graduation certificates.
c. YES
d. YES, i applied for one since its required.

When applying online you should still take a look at the country specific checklist that your particular visa office requires. Required documents will vary from country to country so you need to look at what your visa office would require if you were applying in person. Once you have all those documents you can include them in the optional documents section or with some other document. A cover sheet with the documents uploaded can also in cases where you have included different documents.

Here is what I attached for Letter of explanation. I would suggest to please not copy it and write something on these lines. I haven't received my Visa yet so isn't sure if this is good letter of explanation.....

Please find enclosed my application for a study permit. My father has a graduate degree in commerce (B.Com) and mother has a graduate degree in Arts (BA). Both my parents earned their degrees in Pakistan. My father now runs a successful business. My mother is a home maker. I am the oldest child and both my younger siblings are studying. My younger sister is doing her O levels and younger brother is in grade 7. My parents have stressed on all of us getting quality education. Education to our family is the foundation setting for a successful and meaningful life.
I have completed my High School from XYZ College. My ambition is to earn quality educations to strengthen my business knowledge and eventually help my father run the family business. I have seen my father create the business from scratch and have often helped him with emails and communications to dealing with customers. I have enjoyed the experience and look forward to be an entrepreneur helping with my father’s business and potentially taking it to next level. Good business skills need to be supplemented with strong educational background in business. For this reason I am pursing education in business administration. I have chosen SAIT Polytechnic institute in Calgary to study business administration.
I have to attend a mandatory orientation to be held at SAIT for all the International Student on 1st September, 2015. In person attendance is mandatory in order to continue for the semester.
Why SAIT
SAIT polytechnic is one of the leaders in education. It is an innovative and entrepreneurial post-secondary institution, distinct from universities and colleges in that it offers a skill-focused approach to learning. The college has a strong business program, and has a strong faculty.
SAIT School of Business programs offer strategic industry connections, hands-on learning environments and Internship opportunities further strengthening the skills required in today’s business world.
Why Business Administration
This program offered through SAIT is specialized and offer practical training along with the interpersonal, organizational, computer, decision making and practical skills needed to start a successful career in today's fast changing business world. The program offers major in any one from Accounting, Management, Marketing or Financial Management. Human resources management and Supply chain management will also be offered in near future.
Why Canada
It was a difficult decision when choosing between Canada and any other country to pursue education. I chose Canada because of the following reasons:
• Education system is highly comprehensive and competitive
• Canadian universities offer advanced technological facilities
• Researched based
• Multicultural country – will help achieve skills required to come back and work at a professional level and dealing with people from various background.
Financial Qualifications
• My family’s statements for the past six month showing account with value of XYZ are attached.
• Property documents in my family name worth XYZ are attached.
• Initial Tuition Deposit Paid
Total Cost of my studies: XYZ
Living Cost: $20000 for 2 years
Funds Available: XYZ
My family is fully supportive of my decision to study abroad and a letter from my father is attached.
Future Plans
I intend to return back to Pakistan on completion of my studies to join my father in his business to take the family business to next level with my acquired knowledge. My family is very well settled in Pakistan and my father’s business is doing good and being the oldest child in the family I am responsible to support my father.
