Are you in Canada now? So you need to provide registration and proof of full time studies that you are attending and paid first year tuition. If you aren’t then start or begin program again and show registration. For family of 5, you show cash in the bank of $43k Cdn. 2 year old - TRV. Other children - study permits.

Where are they applying from?

So is this an approved leave? If not are you still eligible for PGWP. Your kids and spouse have to show ties to return when your studies are completed. You show $41k in cash plus tuition paid for winter plus full time registration for winter semester. Spousal open work permit is around 21 weeks so don’t apply until you meet conditions that you are registered, have funds in the bank and can show ties to return.

not approved leave. Do i need to get approved leave letter from the school
So when did your semester end and how long have you been off? Your permit may be cancelled if off for more than a semester. Why did you just leave? Needs to be a formal process for the school to give you authorized leave, and really cannot be backdated.

ended Setember, just off this semester, October-December semester
So you just left and didn’t tell the school? Was this a scheduled break? You need a valid reason to take authorized leave with documentation. You are no longer eligible for PGWP.

Your spouse and kids were rightly refused because you are not even a student at this time.
