Letter of Employment

Hey Folks,

Would love to hear your opinion on the issue that I'm dealing with right now.

I received my ITA 3 weeks ago. All documents are ready to be submitted except for one: Letter of Employment from my former employer in Canada. The thing is that it was part-time work during education in retail that doesn't give me any credit. And I'm not even main applicant (my spouse is).

The problem is that my employer refused to give me the letter and I don't see the point of waiting more and expecting that they will change their mind. As a prof I can submit T4 forms and mentioned in LoE the reason.

What do you think? Shouldn't it be a problem?

If you're not even claiming points for such employment why are you bothering getting supporting documents?

Remove it from work history and add it in personal history.

If your spouse is a FSW also make sure his/her eligibility remains the same.

Since you are not claiming any points for that work experience, you can simply delete it from spouse (since you are spouse of the main applicant) work history and mention it in the spouse personal history. That way system will not generate any place holder for you to upload any documents for that work experience and you may not need any LOE for it.

I did. you can move your experience in personal history section.

Not trying to hijack this post, but I have kind of similar situation. I am the primary applicant and I have 1 year exp with company A and 8+ years of experience with company B. I dont have the roles and responsibility letter from company A but I have from company B. I have submitted my EE profile and I got a NOI from Ontario and its currently in assessment stage.

Can I remove the details of company A from my work history? What should I do.. as I have already submitted my application. Will there be a problem. Please help.

I believe since you have submitted all the documents and it's already in the assessment process, you cannot make that change.

you can move your experience in personal history section.

You are right. It's too late for me now. I got a mail from Ontario today asking for the reference letter from company A. :-[. Now I am applying all my might into getting it from them. Pray for me... I have 15 days!

I do believe that "Personal History" is in the PR application and not the EE profile...

Before invitation show work experience which you are claiming points for, you will get personal history after invitation

I have worked in three different companies out which one is not related to my primary NOC other two are but I want to claim points only for one job do I have to provide letter for other two job as well ?

No if you remove it from work history.
