Hi everyone,
I will be applying for permanent residency under Canadian Experience class program.
I have a question about the letter of employment and the description of duties.

Is it ok to provide an exact copy/paste of description of duties for the appropriate NOC from the HRSDC website?
Has anyone in this forum done this and been successful?

I think its a good idea because it will be easy for the officer to match it with the appropriate NOC.
I showed the duties to my employer and they said they would be willing to sign them as these are the
exact duties I perform at my current job.
Thank you,
V

NO. Thats a terrible idea dude. Don't - i repeat DONT - copy and paste the duties.
Rewrite in your own words. They have to match in meaning, no in word.

Correct me if I'm wrong...

- Do not copy the duties
- Do not re-write the duties in your own words.

Get your employer to write the ref letter (with duties mentioned) and use this. As someone has said before, this isn't an essay writing contest!

why is this such a bad idea? copying the duties would mean a 100% match with the correct NOC.
thanks for responding btw!

Copy/pasting is great way to get your application rejected.

Copy and paste looks more like someones not willing to put some effort in the application or a made up position if you ask me.

Because -
1. It shows almost no effort in putting everything together
2. Mostly applicants match upto 80-90% of the duties mentioned in a particular NOC... but not all which will make it sound unnatural/fake
