I got my visa on 30th of November but i didn't get any LOA of PoA letter attached with my passport. I even checked my email and i didn't recieve any letter via mail. I booked my ticket(28th December 2018). So now its less then 10 days remaining and now i am in tension.i just want to confirm, is it mandatory or is it optional document?

R u sure? I read lot of threads and now i am confused as some are saying that i t requires and others are saying that it does not matter to have LoA
Sure but please don't believe me. My cousin arrived without it and was asked about it but not hassled. He got study permit and SIN both at the airport.

"Keep this letter. You must show this letter to officials at the port of entry when you arrive in Canada to get your study or work permit."
You're supposed to get this letter in the mailbox of email id you gave in your application.
If you're really looking forward to get it, there's a way out.
The steps are too extensive for me to explain, but you can easily find them anywhere.
1. Register an account with CIC (through GCKEY)
2. Link your application to it.
3. After that, you should be able to see the messages regarding your application.
4. See above (POE Introduction letter) - that's where it is .

I already linked my application with gckey but there are no msgs.
Lets wait for 28th and see what happens next
A month ago. CBSA has all records in their system. Some of his classmates also didn't get this letter so all went smooth for them.

I did not receive this letter. my online status shows application in progress even after 10 days after i got my visa on passport. I have reported technical issue and also sent webform. I will also mail them if i do not receive after 1 week.
I will update my status here once i get any mail from IRCC.
I have just seen a sample of approval letter. I do not see any important information other than UCI number and application number on it.
On my biometrics letter I have UCI and application number.
just want to confirm if the entry date mentioned in your study permit is same as your visa expiry date or not?
On the second page of POE study permit document number and its validity is mentioned along with the typ of permit.
i just checked my online application and it state that my application/profile is updated. Now my decision is showing approved but still no separate message for POE letter.
