If you entered Canada and declared as single with a dependent child then you wont have any problem. If you know where the biological father of your child is and you think he can sign any document in the future then much better. Custody and release letter filed with DSWd and submitted to CIC is only good for 1 year. So by the current processing time from your application to your PR these document is already expired. By then you needed a new document for your son to exit Philippines.

OK I see so by then if time comes when I submitted for my PR I still do the same thing of what I did when I applied for work permit then,,ok thanks for your help..hope everything will be fine and good thanks and Godbless

Hi guys, question for option 2, 3900 hrs, would it be alright not to pass/include a timesheet ,date, worked hours/overtime hours? As i cant remember what days i had my overtime,i came sept 2012, this month sept is my 24 months, but employer went out of the country like thrice 3 weeks of each year, i am worried if i use 24 months it might not be enough or complete24, and my concern if i use the 3900 hours is i dont remember the date or my overtime so doing a timesheet wont be possible, but i think i completed 3900 hours already, i want to pass my papers already so id be waiting for the result, pls help, or if you think i could use 24 months, thank you

It is a requirement to attached a time sheet with detailed number of regular hours and overtime worked. How do you think will CIC evaluate your paper if you really eligible under option 2 if you do not have the time sheet? It is better for you then to apply under option 1 if you cannot provide the timesheet

You just need to make timesheet based on your salary. It doesn't matter if the timesheet is your accurate schedule or not. If you stay in Canada when you work on the timesheet and you get signature from your employer, CIC officers accept it.

^ & ^^ thank you, guess need to decide, i might use option1 and take my chance, will update soon, thanks :)

Just wait for your open work permit then quit. If you resign now you need a new LMIA and apply for a neq work permit whereas if you are open you dont need those. What is 3 more months to wait until you get your OwP. But it is your decision because i dont know your situation. Try to discuss the issue to your employer so sort things out.

If you can still wait for your OWP, might as well wait. But if you think it stresses you out, don't punish yourself by staying with them. If you are really sure that you just completed the 24 months and you really like to quit, then quit. You have two options.. first, find another employer while waiting for your OWP. Second option, quit and wait for your OWP(if you can survive for three months without earnings). You will be on IMPLIED STATUS during those months. :D
