I'm happy for you guys who already got owp and AIP. I would also like to share my timeline here:

April 22, 2014 - application was received by CIC (as noted in the email)

Still waiting and hopefully, by God's grace, mine will soon come. Btw, I have my husband and 2 minor children as dependants.

I sent my application for owp and pr march 30, 2014 and Cic received it April 2, 2014. Hoping to hear good news from march applicants with dependants.

thanks for your reply.
I actually applied for PR after 24 months of employment as a live-in caregiver and was still employed...just got laid off and was still able to apply...before the final working day of mine...It is really important to finish the program and be still employed at the moment of submitting your papers...that is what I did. But after I was laid off I have no job and I do not wish to apply for Employment Insurance.

Hello.
Just got curious about your receiving OWP...I just applied for Permanent Residence...and I suppose CIC has to send an e-mail after they receive an application package...
As I understood, you have not received any e-mail, after you submitted your papers? Is that so?

My OWP was mailed right now!!!
I have not got email about OWP from CIC.
I was so surprised.

It was issued on Jun 27.
CIC recieved my apprication on Apr 3.


I hope yours is coming soon.

I had this experience before. What I did (as directed by a CRA agent) is, I filled up a form which I downloaded from CRA website that asks for world income. I didn't have an income too so I just wrote "0". Then sent back the form to them. Or as others suggested, you can write a letter too. I think both should work

you don't need to do anything after that, you'll find out of the adjustment when you receive your GST. Just so you know, they won't send yet your GST not until they receive your world income declaration. If you won't receive any this July, they will probably give it to you on the next installment

just an update to my application:

June 3, 2014- CIC received my application for PR/OWP
July 17, 2014- AOR received via email

Thank God my application has been officially received, this lessens my anxiety And thank you guys for the encouragement and for giving hope to people like me who've just started with the application process. You guys rock! 'Praying for everyone's success, may God bless u all
